Jólapósturinn

Eitt af því fjölmarga sem gerir jólin svo skemmtileg eru jólakortin.  Þessi unga daman er búin að skrifa á jólakortin sín og þá er um að gera að koma þeim á réttan stað :)

Í kvöld setja börnin skóinn út í glugga og bíða eftir Stekkjastaur.  Sum börn skrifa jólasveinunum bréf og biðja um eitthvað fallegt.....það gerði dóttir mín :)

Writing Santa !!

In Iceland we have 13 Santa Clauses or Yule Lads.

Icelandic children place a shoe in their bedroom window each evening in the 13 days before Christmas. Every night one Yuletide lad visits, leaving sweets and small gifts or rotting potatoes, depending on how that particular child has behaved on the preceding day.  So tonight the children place their shoe in the window :)  My daughter is pretty excited and decided to write him a letter :)
