Dagur 7
Við fjölskyldan komum saman á föstudaginn og skárum út laufabrauð, órjúfanlegur hluti af undirbúningi jólanna í minni fjölskyldu :)
My family usually gather together in the Advent to make Laufabrauð (Leafbreat or snow flake bread), spending a several hours cutting and frying. These deep-fried, thin wheat breads are traditionally cut with intricate decorative patterns, and are mostly eaten at Christmas. The tradition of making Laufabrauð has its roots in the northern part of Iceland, but has spread all over the country.
